We are looking forward to bringing LES to Basel again to discuss recent developments in life sci-ences law. Same place and same concept as last year: one topic, three speakers, engaged discus-sions and networking drinks.
This year’s topic are „compensatory term rights“, a term encompassing supplementary protection certificates (SPC) and patent term extensions (PTE), intended to compensate patentees for the time-consuming process of obtaining marketing authorizations for pharmaceutical and plant protec-tion products. We will discuss the current status of such rights in major jurisdictions and we will dive more deeply into recent developments in Europe, in particular before the UPC and the upcoming unitary SPCs.
The conference will be concluded by networking drinks.
